Short Film Festival 2019 Crocker park

The premiere screening of the 2019 Film Festival will be an outdoor event at the stunningly beautiful Crocker Park on July 3rd starting at 9PM.
The second showing will be at the Abbot Public Library, 235 Pleasant St., Marblehead, Saturday, July 6th at 10:30am, lower meeting room.

Erin Trahan reports on and reviews film and television for WBUR’s The ARTery. She’s also on the faculty at Emerson College in the journalism and visual media arts departments. For nearly a decade she edited The Independent, overseeing the preservation of its archive and contributing to books about film distribution and independent women filmmakers. She has co-authored several Frommer’s Guides to Montreal and Quebec City, and most recently, Frommer’s Boston and New England.
Martha Janus grew up in Owensboro, Kentucky and received her B.A. in Theatre Arts at Birmingham Southern College in Birmingham AL. She studied film production in graduate school at Columbia College in Chicago. She worked as assistant stage manager, lighting board operator and other positions on numerous plays at the Body Politic Theatre in Chicago. After moving to Boston, Martha received a Screenwriting Certificate from Emerson College and won the program’s screenwriting award. She interned in the story departments of TriStar Pictures and Arnold Kopelson Productions in New York. She was chosen to participate in Viable Paradise, a week-long science fiction and fantasy writers’ workshop on Martha’s Vineyard.
